Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Flight Path Museum and Learning Center will host an Airport Recruitment Social event on Monday, December 11, to recruit volunteers to assist guests this winter travel season. Community members who are curious to find out about the array of volunteer opportunities at one of the busiest airports in the nation can attend the social, and learn about opportunities at LAX, the Flight Path Museum and Learning Center, and the Bob Hope USO at LAX.
The event will also offer a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes airfield tour at LAX. Recruitment presentations begin at 10 a.m. and a behind-the-scenes airfield tour leaves Flight Path Museum at 11 a.m. Space on the airfield bus tour is limited to the first 40 people to arrive for this event. Parking is free, light refreshments will be served.
Flight Path Museum and Learning Center is a nonprofit, community-based museum honoring aviation pioneers, showcases the importance of Southern California and LAX to the aviation and aerospace industry as well as encourages youth to pursue education and careers in aviation-related fields. The Flight Path Museum gallery exhibits are filled with memories of aviation’s golden years and houses one of largest collection of vintage flight attendant uniforms in the Western United States.
